Latency is a big problem with this app. But I appreciate what the developers are attempting and wish to support their continued efforts to this end.
I've read papers relating to the issues posed by real time performance. This app doesn't really overcome the physics of the current limitations. Real good ears can easily hear 5ms...10-15ms of delay might be good...20-30....enough to get the flame started. But 50-60ms with someone 20 miles away... >200ms with someone in New Zealand from where I am...well that's just not gonna work. Even with someone fairly close...lots of snap, crackle, pop...bizarreness. I realize it is incumbent on the user to grab the bull by the horns and configure their interface as best as possible...but it's not workable for many depending on their computer literacy. It really needs to be a plug and play interface to catch on.
Having said all this, I would like to thank eJamming for the hard work...I'm sure over time it will become an enabler for musicians worldwide to create.
