Ok so Im watching, House, or Greys Anatomy, and i hear music in the background, punctuating some emotionally heavy event, and its like, Good.

Is there where all the good music has gone? to TV show soundtracks? why is't the music i hear on the radio evoking any kind of emotional response besides wanting to stab myself in the eye with a broken lava lamp to make the horrifying pain of what i hear go away? Any opinions? Discuss.

also video game music has been much better then anything on the radio. Halo was able to get Steve Vai to do their Theme song How kick ass is that? and as Far as to what I have been listening to lately I have been getting into folk Metal check it out you will be pleasantly surprised.

A lot of people are lazy listeners, some complicated music you have to really listen to to enjoy I think. Some people people turn on the radio for background music, hence something they can tap their foot on, or just get rid of the quiet and not really put effort into listening to the music.

thats valid i guess. theres another dimension to emotional content with music too.
