i use quite a few and find ejamming sound quality sub par to other apps does not record stereo and uses a low bit rate. dont tell me it does it only record one audio track in mono not stereo option available are well next to none other apps i use, uses vsti, real audio(wav,mp3) , fx emulation and live recording in stereo. live collaboration in real time and these apps are free no fussing with port on router or playing to an annoying delay. nice try ejamming but something i wont pay for when the better are free

eJA records 48 kHz, 16 bit. Everyone in the session gets the full fidelity tracks when the Leader of the session clicks SEND SONG. The files you get are standard .wav and .mid files, exportable to just about any mixing software. The live audio quality sounds good to me. Today's bandwidth restrictions won't permit live stereo tranmission over the internet of eJA's quality sounds. eJA connects you to other players directly, it's not hosted on a server, so unfortunately routers come into play. The log in process now informs you if you need to deal with your router, but in most cases you won't. Anyway, maybe you'll decide to give it another try sometime.

eJA seems like a good program - though I haven't been able to download the Mac version in FireFox yet. Some of my friends are using Riffworks to record songs together online.

Interesting RoxBass mentions Riffworks. This program is NOT real time, does not record analog (vocals, acoustic anything, etc.), and is intended for guitar only.

Yes, Riffworks does have loops of other instruments, but hey your not jamming - your just setting up a riff and hoping someone else will want to get into your groove sometime later... that is my opinion is not jamming and not much fun.

Good luck with the other apps you mention, so far the only app which WORKS is eJamming Audiio.

I second what TheVoice has to say on this issue.

I have a tried a couple of different flavors of online jamming out there, and this is the only one that I keep coming back to.

It is still in Beta. It is only going to get better and better over time.

I think this is a brilliant idea and the programming and management team should be commended for their product!

I D/L'd unto both my macbooks, NP but I don't use firefox, just safari. I Jam on (other product) sometimes, but the tracks are not very good quality, as far as D/L like EJm Does once the session is over, well, on my mac I can't even open them (the other app. ones, I CAN open the ejm files) IMO the ejm application is going to be very good, the interface makes more sense, and (it is BETA) so I expect this to become a feature added into all the audio apps at some point in time. Untill then, I really like the way this app works and is heading. Just my 2 cents. I am not an audio pro, just a Guitar slinger, singer.
