Hello, Just installed the latest Ejamming software. I get the following error upon start up.
"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
Needless to say I have re-installed many times, still no go. Re-downloaded the program 5 times, still no go. Yes, the file size is correct, 40.7 mb or so, I have read through all the topics on here, etc.
I'm running windows Xp 64 bit, my computer is top of the line, and almost 5x the system requirments.
Let me know, Brad

Hey Brad
in all fairness, im not sure if weve tested the system on x64.
Is there an error report that the system tries to report to Microsoft? coying and pasting that information into a bug report would be extremely helpful. Now i gotta find somebody we know with x64 to test on.
Thanks Brad please let us know what you find out

Hello.
There is no error report, nor any extra information.
I'm going to take a screen shot of the error and host it and link it below for you.
The problem lies within the installer, not the program. Windows XP 64 bit, runs 32 bit programs without a single problem. It's the installer that can not recognise the different system setup (two system folder, two program folders).
If you could provide the community with a zip file, with all the items (including the ones that get installed in the system folder), we could try and put them in the correct places.
Here is the link to the error:

If you would like me to try anything, or work with you on this, just let me know.
Thanks, Brad

Our programming team has researched this problem and there are installation issues Microsoft is aware of, but they are issuing contradictory advice. Our programming team recommends the following:
We suggest that users who are having a problem should install this Microsoft Redistributable Package :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=32bc1bee- a3f9-4c13-9c99-220b62a191ee&displaylang=en
The Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) installs runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries required to run applications developed with Visual C++
Hopefully that will solve your problem.
Please let us know.

Installed the referenced SW and Eureka......looks like we're off to the races. Ejamming now starts up - no more "failed to init" message.
One comment: the link in the FAQ reply is a dead end, but you can get to the proper SW download by going to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads and searching for "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86"
Thanks
