M-Audio Black Box - Can't get it working

I haven't used the eJamming software in a long time, so I recently upgraded to the newest version and now my Black Box, which used to work with no hassle causes an error when trying to select it as an audio source. I think this has to do with the change from 44.1kHz to 48kHz. I tried installing ASIO4All and enabling the option to let it convert between 44.1kHz and 48kHz as the documentation says, but I still get an error when selecting the ASIO4All devices in the Audio tab under the preferences menu. Can anyone help me get this setup or even know if the Black Box is supported anymore? It works fine recording from various recording software but for some reason I can't get it working with eJamming. Thanks!

Hey Zoom

We'd had quite a bit of trouble with the BlackBox specifically. What error did you get when you were trying to select ASIO4ALL? and yes, the black box ONLY supports 48k but id love to find a way to trick it into running properly. I'm assuming you're running a PC also correct? do you have an internal sound card you could try to use to make sure everything else is running properly?

I tried loading the software without the Black Box connected and selected the ASIO4All device from the preferences dialog with no errors. It was just configured to use the onboard sound card. When I plug the Black Box in and select Asio4All, I get the error:

"There has been an error opening an audio stream. Invalid sample rate."

This is also the same error I got before I installed Asio4All and just tried using the Black Box natively (also when I choose the Black Box device instead of Asio4All). Thanks for your help!

Hey Zoom, Do you have the ASIO driver installed for the Black Box? make sure you have the newest and most up to date ASIO driver from the M-Audio Website. IF you do, we might be out of luck simply because the Black Box doesn't support 48k Sample rates, Dont ask me why.

Take Care Chris
