Cannot login either

Have port forwarded 26900 and opened that port on my firewall/router. Port Test says : Passed. When I attempt to login it says Account Valid, Logging in....."Lobby servers are down or outbound UDP is blocked " I have nothing blocking outbound anything. This seems to be a common problem with others here. It is frustrating , I'd really like to see this thing work. Is there a central server IP address I can try and do a "telnet x.x.x.x 26900" to , to see if a session opens or if I get connection refused ?

HoWdY!!

That's exactly what I'm getting too! It says that my ports test passed right at the start, and that my account was valid as well. ... did someone kick a plug outta the wall (grin)

Thankx Dennis

Hey Guys Is this problem still happening? i seem to be logging in fine, it could have been a GameSpy server issue.

Thanks@

Still getting "Lobby servers are down". I have a crappy old US Robotics 9003 router. I know I've opened the port correctly though. I'll get another router I think ...

HoWdY!!

Still won't let me connect! Passed the port test .. Account Valid ... then a pop up that says the GameSpy server connection or router problem ... my router is setup with the port on my router ... Could you check for a GameSpy glitch because everything else seems to be ok... Thankx Dennis

Hi Guys,

Well look into it right away. As i said, I'm not having any problems logging in, so mabye only a few Gamespy servers are down in certain locations.

Anyway were checking on it, thanks again!

Hi Guys - When you get the GameSpy or Lobby servers are down error message (even when you've passed the port test), it usually means your ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE or FIREWALL (and you may have more than one (Windows and McAfee, etc) is blocking access to the eJamming Lobby. Open your ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE and FIREWALL and name "eJamming" as an EXCEPTION.

DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE OR YOUR FIREWALL.

Hope this helps solve the problem.

HoWdY!!

I did what you suggested Thunderpup as far as the anti-virus software, ports and firewall ... but it STILL doesn't want to connect! I get the same message about EJA being unable to connect to the Gamespy servers or my firewall is blocking it. My firewall is OFF so I don't think it's that and I have checked the router setup and it is correct too. This has been like this for two or three days now so I hope you can hunt down that pesky bug and squash it! Thankx Dennis

I also have tried turning off my firewall and disabling all anti-virus programs for a few seconds just to see if it will connect, and it won't. I am quite sure this has nothing to do with my firewall or anti-virus. I am still unable to connect to the servers.

We were having a pretty rough time with the GameSpy system lately so try again today, and if youre still having troubles post back!

thanks

I got the same problem.....
2008-02-17 09:24 AM
It has nothing to do with the gamespy severs having trouble for me. I had a friend logging in at the same time and he had no problems. I will try connecting directly to my modem and skip the router and let you know tomorrow if that worked.

thanks Evol

was all fine for me yesterda after a battle/learning curve, now today i fail 26900.
2008-02-19 03:08 PM
check your router or anti virus, also, failing 26900 isn't NECESSARILY the end of the world.

2008-02-19 06:21 PM
I have tried connecting directly to my modem, bypassing the router, and disabling windows firewall just for a few minutes to test eJamming and I still get the same message about servers being busy or UDP traffic being blocked.

I have also tried turning on windows firewall (I don't usually keep it on and just rely on my router's firewall) and adding the 26900 port as well as the eJamming software as an exception, and I still get the same message.

Not sure if it helps, but I used to get the message after about 10 seconds of seeing the words "Logging in..." at the top, and now it seems to come up right away.

Is your ISP blocking your outgoing UDP? thats always possible

Chris
2008-02-19 11:01 PM
No, my friend who is able to connect is also on the same ISP.
2008-02-19 11:03 PM
I should also mention that I play TONS of games that use PnP on my PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 and I've never had any problems. The NAT setting on my 360 displays "Open" which is the best possible result you can get for it.
2008-02-19 11:03 PM
woops. I mean UPnP, not PnP.
2008-02-19 11:35 PM
i wonder if the 360 or PS3 are hijacking your ports.

might be interesting to disconnect them, restart everything and try again.

worth a try anyway

As said in the other topic, same here. There is NOTHING WRONG with my ports, as I use them all the time.
2008-02-25 04:30 PM
There might be a problem with GameSpy at the time you were logging in, can you try again, and if you have the same problem, please document the day and time and your time zone? its entirely possible that the GameSpy servers local to you are not working right.

Thanks! Chris

Chris I was fine with Beta12 and updated to Beta 13. I have ran all test and looks to be a Gamespy problem. They have the same problem with UT3. When are they going to fix this.
2008-03-16 11:19 PM
My dad in St Louis upgraded to Beta 13, changed his password, and he cannot log on to the eJamming App. He could log into the website with the new password.

We did some troubleshooting: 1. We double-checked all casing and spelling. 2. I could log on with his new password/sub from Seattle. 3. He could not log on with my password/sub from St Louis.

This was pretty frustrating. Should he re-install. If this was a Gamespy server issue local to St Louis, is there a place to check server status?

Thanks, Rob

As an appendum to the above post, yes the ports were open, and Should he uninstall/reintall? was a question. Thanks.

I have the sme problem, ports are open bur not able to connect.account valid port test passed but still no go. So i I'm back to other online jamsoftware that works fine but has not got many members. to bad this looked like it has more options
2008-04-11 05:28 AM
hmm i got another message now trying to log in.either your network connection was interrupted or another user has sogned in yusing your login details.

after the router firewall message again.

double checked ports they are open tes passed.i disabled firewall and intivirus.Still not able to connect
2008-04-14 06:51 AM
Hey Angelo How many times have you tried to login? sometimes if there are server problems you wont be able to log in for a few hours.

If this problem keeps happening i would look at router port forwarding. Forward ALL the ports to the machine you're running eJamming On and see if that helps.

Thanks!

Chris

I have my ports openned but I can't log in because of the UDP traffic..
2008-06-15 03:58 AM
I'm having the same problem: Port test Passed, no firewall, port 26900 forwarded to the right IP, ougoing traffic allowed with no restrictions both UDP and TCP. When I try to login, after "account valid" message, I get either "lobby server down or outgoing UDP blocked", or "netw. conn to the lobby interrupted or another user signed..." or "unable to contact gamespy matchmaking server...". Basically one of the three messages already reported by other users. I've been trying every once in a while in the past three months. I'm located in Canada.
2008-09-19 07:51 PM
same problem here
2008-09-22 02:51 PM
Is anyone who posted here behind a corporate firewall?

Those have a tendency to cause majour problems.

There is also the possibility that the lobby servers really are down and you are not receiving that message in error.

That being said, Beta 14 is going to take great strides towards simplifying the connection procedure, we promise. Please stay tuned.

Chris
