I am hearing lots of pops and general hash. It appears to be getting introduced on input. I checked that my clock rate was 48Khz (tried 44.1 also but no improvement)
I set my buffers to 2048, which is max possible, with no or little improvement.
I am using a Tascam FW1804 and a homebrew PIII/770Mhz. With other apps (eg traktion) I can generally run a 64 sample buffer.

Hey dlmoore
eJamming is far more resource intensive than Traktion. This could also be caused by a conflict in your sample rate. eJamming wants a 48k sample rate, but if something, for instance iTunes, is trying to reset the sample rate to something else, you'll hear all kinds of funky things.
Did you try to record something and play it back or was the crackle on just the live input?
Any more info you can give me would really help me out in trying to figure out the issue.
Thanks! Chris for the eJamming Team.

I checked the sample rate was 48.1Khz. I went as far as mixing down a recorded track and playing it outside eJamming, and the crackles were still there. That is why I say it is on record.
If the answer is I need a faster box, I am actually cool with that - this box really is old and slow. But it would be nice to have some details on what will work, especially in a laptop.
BTW, MIDI seems to work fine.

Ya know,
are you running WinXP or what?
Theres some things you can do in WinXP to get the most out of it before you go to the trouble of building a new system.
Specifically setting the processor scheduling to background services and turning off the fancy graphics. you can do all of this from Control Panel, System Settings, Advanced.
Let me know if you need more info.

I am aslso having a similar problem, but I am using audio from the motherboard. Should I be able to adjust the sampling rate from an AC97 audio set up (ie on-board)?
I will also check the WinXP things that have been suggested here, but any comments are welcome.

RayMac are you using ASIO4ALL? and how fast is your computer?
Also, are you recording things locally or are you recording a session with someone else? network speeds can drastically affect recording quality and give intermittent drop outs that should be able to be remedied with a Send Song function.
Thanks! Chris
