It's not a firewall or anti-virus. I have disabled/enabled these and they are not the problem.

I live in a dorm at a university, so manually opening the correct port is not an option. Any suggestions besides talking to my network adviser?

Same with me, I disabled all firewalls, forwarded the ports (and passed the port test). So are the servers down?

if youre in a network dorm, youre going to have more trouble right off the bat that most other people. Colleges go to alot of trouble to keep peer to peer connections from not happening. i would really consider talking to your Network Advisor and see what they can do for you, if anything.

Same problem as SteveOn and I've forwarded ports and passed the connection test and still get this f*** error...

the university itself blocks ports sometimes. ill get a list of all the ports from the lead programmer today and post it up here. let me get back to you guys.

Problem solved... my mistake, peer guardian is blocking udp traffic...
