When I try to install anything lately, I get a pop up saying the following:

"The Windows Installer could not be accessed.This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Installer is not correctly installed.Contact your support Personnel for assistance.

Anyone able to offer any help?

What version of windows are you running?

We had a known installer bug that required you to download the Microsoft C++ Redistribution Package. Its worth a try, you'll need to google it as the links never seem to work.

I'm running on XP. It doesn't seem to work, when I downloaded that file from the Microsoft website and tried to open it up, the installer gave me the same message.

hmm have you tried redownloading the installer file from this website? it might just have not downloaded correctly
