Hey everyone,
I just want to say that it is not possible to play with this software. I tried to play a session with a friend but there was too much delay so we weren't able to play synchronously. We could hear each other but when I (with my drums) played a beat, his "answer" was to late (about half a second) everytime. Even when we used the click within the software it was too late. We both have a fast Internet connection, so that is not the problem. Has anyone an idea what we can do? Or is it normal that there is such a delay?
Greetings,
Luke

Sorry, I forgot a thing. We also tried to reduce our ASIO buffer size but it did not help.

What is the geographic distance between the 2 of you? anything under 15-20ms should not be enough delay to cause any issues.

Thanks for your answer. The distance beetwenn us is about 5 km. The delay we had problems with was 50-90 ms. I could not find the problem...

Your up-speed and your partners up-speed both of your ISP can make the difference. Get 500kbps up min and if possible up to 1mbps. Get on the same ISP and see if they will connect you to the internet backbone the same way. Also try not to use any USB in your communication connection. reduce your audio hardware buffer to the owest possible before clicking occurs.
Drums will be by far the hardest to get going, you can kind of fake other instruments but drums is the difficult.
DO NOT USE ACOUSTIC DRUMS if possible because you are listening to you sound and not the delayed sound. You need to monitor and play with the SYNCED sound like everyone else is hearing. Use a Roland Vdrum would be like playing a synth so you could here the synced sound.
BTW I would think you would need 20-50 MS SYNC Delay in order to be able to play drums.
