Hey Man, How is the audio signal getting into the computer? Line input or Mic input? Vista shouldn't see eJam, i think, because it uses ASIO drivers, not the standard windows ones. Although, i could be wrong, because i don't have much experience with Vista.

Mic In

AHHHH HA

You gotta use the Line in if you have it. Mic in is expecting a very different signal and that is why it is distorted.

Are you using ASIO4All?

Cause you prolly need to be.

Remember last time you told me to use Line In it went directly to my speakers and I am using ASIO4ALL

also Skype hears my mic clearly

Hey Chris: Vista does not do Midi? The drum tracks and backup tracks dowloaded fine, and they are all visible on my pc. I can play these tracks if I associate them with I Tunes. But when I go to add a drum trac to my session the fields are blank. The lil box says add wav files, no wav files found. The files are actually MIDI not WAV, can you change it so it says add wav/MIDI files?

Great job, the actuall jamming is seamless, realy no delay to speak of, no more than playing live with a mile of cable running to your monitor really.

Before the computer age but definately sterio, I had loads of vocal effects processing and traveling back to my monitors, this caused a short delay, to compensate I ran my guitar through a delay as well. The video looks like a godzilla movie cause my lips are not in sinc with the sounds produced. The latency experienced on ejamming is not nearly as bad!

Hey Arsin225: The input signals required for MIC IN are very low, the mic has no power supply. The audio input is expecting a powered signal and has a completly diferent set of requirements. You can't plug a mic into a speaker and get any volume cause it's a weak signal. Same works in reverse you can't put an amplified signal into a mic input without overdriving the signal, creating a buzz and distortion. Yes that's where the term overdrive comes from on the guitar effects, early musicians would overdrive thier marshall tube amp and use the distortion as an effects petal, aka Jimmy Hendricks.

Now the sound going from input to your speaker is a difrent problem all together, if you use headphones this might help, sounds like a software setting needs to be changed somewhere.

Hey Doug You can load Midi tracks from the File Menu in a session using the Load Midi file command.

Good luck man and thanks for the kind words!
