this helped alot of people confused by the lag... Mute your own instrument!

I think this should be the default setting because: 1 you're going to get quite the echo of yourself however many milliseconds later (ie the latency) 2 Many people can't figure this out and may assume the program is unusable. 3 this is the only way myself and others have been able to use the program

also, on a seperate note, i've never needed babblefish so badly, could it be integrated into the chat program? As a computer science major I'm pretty sure it could be. Its use could be automated based on native country or even just by entering everyones language manually.

Hey Drumm

Could you explain what you mean by MUTE your own instrument?

Also, I'm sure its possible to incorporate Babelfish, if the owners dont mind of course. we can look into it.

Thanks for the help!

the "m" button on my personal track in the session

If i hit my drum once i hear the drum. Then i hear it again from the program a second later. Playing like this is an obvious impossibility.

I've played with a piano & bass player confirming this. Our solution is to hit the "m" button muting our own tracks (i mute my track on my PC joe blow mutes his track on his PC etc). We listen to our own physical instrument/amps & to the program to hear the band mates.

THANK GOD that even with m pressed it still records every track, and it only mutes it on my PC, ie. Joe Blow still hears me and i still hear Joe blow VERY NICE! :) The result: Joe and i keep time and are in perfect sync regardless of the latency!!!!!!!!!!!!! But don't ask me how or why it just works.

And if i didn't sound grateful, then let me add THANK YOU! FOR THIS AWESOME PIECE OF SOFTWARE!! i haven't been able to find good open minded musicians since high school and now I have 24hr access!!! I'm in heaven.

Best regards

Drew
