I thought eJamming records 48kHz quality tracks. Why did I hear "crackling" in my session playback but my own sound was clean?
Answer:
In order to minimize latencies, eJamming AUDiiO "thins" the live audio streams sent over the Internet to other players. When recording a live Session on eJamming AUDiiO, however, each musician's hard drive records his or her own performance in full, better-than-CD-quality 48kHz, but records the other players' live performances as they come over the Internet in the live Session so you don't have to wait to check the overall performance on playback. Once you like a take you've recorded and want everyone to have full 48kHz-quality tracks, the Leader clicks "Send Song", which exchanges each player's 48kHz sample rate recordings with the other players. NOTE: DURING "SEND SONG", ALL LIVE AUDIO WILL BE SILENCED TO DECREASE THE TIME NEEDED TO EXCHANGE TRACKS, BUT YOU CAN TEXT MESSAGE AND IM EACH OTHER DURING SEND SONG.
