Why does my music or audio sound strange or distorted when I also open Garage Band on my Mac or other audio software on Windows?
Answer:
GarageBand and certain other Windows audio software only support audio interfaces that operate at 44.1 kHz. So if you’ve got eJamming AUDiiO open (which sets the sample rate to 48kHz) and then you open Garage Band on your Mac or other audio software on Windows machines, they change the sample rate back to 44.1kHz when they start up, which results in your hearing distorted audio or strange sounds.
If you experience these kinds of distorted sounds, close eJamming AUDiiO and all other audio software and reopen eJamming AUDiiO. Check to make sure your sound card or audio interface is set to sample at 48kHz.
