How Do I Mix Down a Song Session to a .wav File in eJamming AUDiiO?
Answer:
Ok, so let’s pretend you’ve recorded something in eJamming AUDiiO already. If you don’t know how to do this, check out the Recording Video Tutorial or the How Do I Use Overdub Mode FAQ. Watch it, Read it, Record it and come back to read this FAQ.
In order to mixdown your song, you first need to know the Start and End points of the song. Call it demanding, but it’s one of the things the software needs to know from you.
To determine Start and End points, use the Fast Forward or Skip Forward buttons on the transport to go to the Start point of your music and note the measure number in the measure indicator box on the bottom right of the Session view. Then Fast Forward or Skip to the end of the song where you hear the last note and CLICK Stop. Now make a note of the number in the measure indicator box; that is the measure number the song ends on.

Now PLAY the song back. ADJUST the levels between the tracks to create an overall sound you like by DRAGGING the PLAYBACK FADER on each track. ,ADJUST the panning for each instrument by GRABBING and ROTATING the PAN BUTTON next to the Playback Fader (you can also just place your cursor where you want the Pan control to move to and LEFT CLICK your mouse; the Pan controller’s marker will obediently move to that position).
Make sure you like the Playback levels and pan mix, because that’s how it’s going to sound when you mix it down.
Now this is important: we recommend saving your song in its own folder before you mix down; not only will the mixdown file be placed in this new folder, but it will be easier to find later on after a few beers. To Save your song, CLICK File> “Save Song as” and enter the folder where you’d like to save your song.
Remember the measure numbers you wrote down before? Plug the measure number right before where your song starts into the first box, and the measure just after where your song ends in the second box, and CLICK “Mixdown Song”.
The progress meter in the upper right corner of the Session view will spin while you’re mixing down. When it’s finished -- Voila! You’ve got a hit!
The stereo .wav file will be placed in the folder where you saved the song earlier, and you can play it back to your heart’s content. If you’re retro, burn it to a CD you can play in your car. Or convert it to .mp3 and add it to your iPod’s playlist you tech-trendie.
One more thing, when you leave the session, be sure to choose Save on the “Would you Like to Save the Current Song?” Dialog that pops up, if you want to keep your mixdown or your unmixed tracks.
Otherwise, they will all be deleted in order to take up less space on your hard drive. And all this hard work would be for squat.
